 General Manager Zhang Xiangjun, Assistant General Manager Liu Jianhai, Deputy Director of Technology Center,Ma Wei from Shanxi Cimm Donghai  Advanced Carbon Co.,Ltd., with Kaifeng Carbon Co., Ltd. of China Pingmei Shenma Group , Hunan Chenzhou Institute of Commodity quality Supervision and Inspection (National Graphite Product quality Supervision and Inspection Center) and Institute of Metallurgical Industry Information Standards jointly participated in the method for determination of National Standard of the people's Republic of China Thermal expansion coefficient of Graphite electrode -Revision of GB/T3074.4-2016 proposed by the China Iron and Steel Industry Association .

This standard replaces the GB/T 3074.4-2003 method for the determination of the coefficient of Thermal expansion of Graphite electrode. Compared with GB/T 3074.4-2003, the main changes of the standard are as follows: the derivation of the formula is deleted; the extensometer in the schematic diagram of the relative normal dilatometer is changed into a displacement measuring device; the part of the thermal dilatometer is added the "reachable protective gas". The equipment for measuring the amount of expansion on the thermal expansion meter has been changed from a kilometers to a displacement measuring device and a thermometer to a temperature measuring device; the test dimension section has deleted the processing requirements of the temperature measuring holes; and the sample size part has been changed from the length to "shall not be less than 50mm", delete the requirement of the length deviation; delete the zero-back operation of the meter to read "record the initial reading of the displacement measuring device or return the device back to zero"; and replace "(room temperature 600 )" with "Δ T" in the resulting partial formula.

The National Standard of the people's Republic of China (GB/T 3074.4-2016) is issued by the State Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the people's Republic of China and the State Administration of Standardization of China on August 29, 2016. effective from July 1, 2017.
